04th December 2017 -  The preview video for the FC12 crane is now available on Cranab’s YouTube channel.

This video presenting the FC12 crane introduces the most important features of the FC12 forwarder crane: the geometry and smoothness of movement are the most important strengths. Strong lift- and slew capacity provide productivity to the customer.


29th November 2017 -  The Italian crane manufacturer Fassi acquires 100% ownership of Cranab.

Bergamo (Italy). Fassi acquired part-ownership of Cranab in 2013 and has since then increased its ownership in the company step by step and, with the acquisition of Hans Eliasson´s shares, has now become the full owner of the Cranab Group, which consists of the companies Cranab, Vimek and Bracke Forest.

17th June 2017 -  2 Jekko mini cranes raise the curtain in celebration of Donizetti

Bergamo (Italy). The city centre played host to a grand event with the participation of a multitude of artists paying tribute to the art of Gaetano Donizetti, the pride of the city. Bergamo was transformed into an enormous open-air theatre for the third edition of the “Donizetti Night”. Twenty-three stages with three thematic areas hosted ninety-two shows, involving six hundred and ninety artists. Two Jekko mini cranes, the SPX1275 and the SPX527, raised the curtain in the city centre throughout the event.

23rd January 2017 -  A new agreement for the Italian group, ready to take on the new year by developing new market synergies

On Monday 23rd January, in Paris, a new agreement was signed, giving the Fassi Group the majority share of CTELM, the holding company to which the French brands FASSI FRANCE, MILTRA and MARREL belong.

It has been confirmed that Roger Boutonnet will continue as president of CTELM, and he took the opportunity, during the signing, to underline the excellent results obtained in 2016, both in terms of sales for Marrel and also with regards to the strengthening of all the subsidiaries. Boutonnet, also a partner in CTELM, emphasized the objectives of growth and continuity that the company has set for the near future.

September 2016 - Fassi Group at IAA.

The numbers for the IAA in Hannover underline its leadership in the field of trade fair events for the transport, mobility and logistics sector. Occupying an area of 256 thousand square metres, the last edition, which took place in 2014, saw thousands of visitors, with 84% made up of professional operators from all over the world, who came to see the new proposals presented by 2,066 exhibitors from 45 different countries.

September 2016 -  Fassi Gru S.p.A. joins the new company JEKKO s.r.l.

Jekko s.r.l. was established in January 2016 as a spin-off of the namesake brand – active for over 15 years in minicranes, minipickers and vacuum-lift cranes - from Ormet S.p.A., a manufacturer of handling and lifting equipment with a 40-year experience. Now Fassi Gru S.p.A., Italian leading manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic cranes for installation on trucks, has joined the company to further boost development and expansion on the global market.

July 2016 -  Fassi, one of the world's largest manufacturers of cranes for trucks, becomes the majority owner of the Cranab group with the subsidiaries; Vimek, Bracke Forest and Slagkraft, through the acquisition of Z-forestab´s ownership stake in the company.

Z-forestab, a jointly owned company by Inlandsinnovation, Mittkapital and Ekonord, has agreed to sell its stake in Cranab group. Cranab manufactures cranes for forestry equipment and is located in Vindeln outside Umeå, Sweden. Fassi is already a shareholder in Cranab group and through this deal Fassi becomes the majority owner.

May 2016 - Fassi is present at IFAT in Munich, in partnership with Cranab and Marrel.

After its very positive presence at the last edition of the IFAT trade fair in 2014, Fassi Gru will be present this year, in partnership with Cranab and Marrel, with a 306 sq m area on stand 713/5 in the external area. This biennial international trade fair, held at the Munich exhibition grounds, is dedicated to those involved in water, sewage, waste and raw material management.
