FADAS, THE NEW ERA OF SAFETY AND AUTOMATION IN FASSI CRANES
Introducing Fassi Advanced Driver Assistance System, or more simply, FADAS. In this acronym, Fassi has encapsulated a universe of advanced technology, designed to revolutionise the operational efficiency of cranes, improving safety and automation. FADAS technology represents a leap forward in the safety and efficiency of modern cranes. Thanks to integrated automation, crane use becomes more efficient and sustainable, reducing stress for operators and optimising the management of time and crane movements. Connecting via the Internet of Cranes (IoC) opens the door to a new era of intelligent cranes that communicate with each other, simplifying operations and increasing productivity.
One of the most notable innovations is Cabin Collision Detection (CCD), an automated system that prevents crane boom movements that could cause accidental contact with the truck cabin. This device is essential for preventing damage and ensuring safe and smooth operations.
The Automatic Crane Movement (ACM) system takes operational efficiency to a new level, enabling semi-automatic work cycles, such as vertical load lifting. This is particularly useful for applications such as waste collection, reducing the time and effort required for daily operations.
Another very interesting innovation is Automatic Crane Folding (ACF), which allows the crane to be opened and closed completely automatically, significantly simplifying operations before and after the lifting activity performed by the crane. With ACF, putting the crane into operation becomes child’s play. Automatic Winch Control (AWC) ensures that the distance between the pulley and the hook remains constant, regardless of the operation in progress. This allows the load to be kept at a stable height from the ground in a single operation, improving precision and safety.
Finally, the Grab Automatic Shake (GAS) system facilitates handling loose materials through rapid opening and closing clamshell bucket movements, ensuring gradual and controlled depositing of the material.
