FASSI F1050R.2-HXP TECHNO: PERFORMANCE, SAFETY AND VERSATILITY, WITH AN INNOVATIVE DESIGN

Read Time: 4.1 mins

Fassi presents the new F1050R.2-HXP TECHNO. The successor to the highly popular F990RA, this crane brings together technological innovation, improved performance and an optimised design to respond to the demands of those looking for efficiency and reliability.
There comes a time, even for champions, to pass the baton. Fassi is proud to present the new F1050R.2-HXP TECHNO, the chosen successor to the F990RA, one of the most popular cranes in the heavy-duty range. This crane not only picks up the baton; it carries it further, raising the bar in terms of performance and technology.
The new star of the TECHNO range marks a true generational shift for Fassi cranes; an extraordinary evolution that embodies the distinctive improvements in design of the new TECHNO generation, expressing years of research and development through a revolution in performance and innovation.

The F1050R.2-HXP TECHNO is an example of how innovation can lead to tangible results. In comparison to the F990RA, the new crane offers an increase of 15% in maximum vertical capacity and of 6% in horizontal capacity, while maintaining the same structural weight.
Performance is multiplied with the addition of the L626 hydraulic jib: up to +40% vertically and an astounding +90% horizontally.
However, the F1050R.2.9-L436 configuration represents the most significant qualitative leap, combining the new 9-hydraulic-extension crane with a 6-extension jib. The result? Considerably superior outreach and superior performance, thanks to the combination of latest-generation structural components and integrated management software.

As with the other cranes in the TECHNO range, the strengths of the F1050R.2-HXP TECHNO include the outerboom and telescopic extensions made in line with the X-DESIGN philosophy, with a decagonal section that offers significant increases in vertical capacity, both with and without the use of a hydraulic jib, and in horizontal capacity.
The versatility of the F1050R.2-HXP is further enhanced with the introduction of a version with 9 hydraulic extensions, allowing an increase in outreach while maintaining the overall dimensions. Furthermore, the new system of permanent pulleys for the winch optimises efficiency, allowing the cable to remain permanently armed and reducing the time it takes to prepare a crane in transportation mode for operation. The range of features is completed with a new modular assembly fixed pulley solution, which renders operations quicker and simpler for versions without jib.

X-Design section
The F1050R.2-HXP is a demonstration of excellence, the result of Fassi’s constant commitment to research and development of innovative solutions. This innovative vision of design has led to the revolutionary decagonal section, known as the X-Design profile, created to optimise the distribution of stress between the guide and the crossbeam, redefining the boundaries of structural efficiency.
Not only does this design guarantee increased rigidity; it also improves operating efficiency, allowing for superior performance in vertical and horizontal configurations.
The use of UHSS (Ultra-High Strength Steel) represents an essential advantage, combining lightness and resistance. This technology allows the crane to effectively handle challenging situations, with an increase in vertical capacity of approximately 30% when combined with the L626 or L436 hydraulic jibs.

The FX990 system
At the heart of the new generation of Fassi cranes lies technology that combines precision, innovation and connectivity. The FX990 electronic system represents a true evolution in terms of quality, designed to render every operation more fluid, safe and customisable. One of the most significant innovations is Ethernet communication, which guarantees rapid and reliable data exchange. The versatility of the FX990 system allows for the working areas to be customised, adapting the crane to specific operational requirements. This is combined with the FSC TECHNO stability control system, which allows the stability of the crane to be adapted to a range of operating conditions.
Ease of use is a priority for Fassi, and the FX990 is no exception. Stabiliser operation via radio controller is provided as standard. Furthermore, the Dynamic Maintenance Assistant provides the operator with real-time maintenance guidance, preventing possible problems and guaranteeing the utmost efficiency. New features include the new colour touch screen integrated into the crane base, which renders the interface even more intuitive, and the IoC (Internet of Cranes®) system, which connects the crane to the digital network, allowing constant monitoring and interconnected management.
