Fassi suggests its Cranelube line of lubrificants for having a minimal environmental impact
It is estimated that about half of the lubricants used worldwide (amounting to several million tonnes) are released into the environment through evaporation, spillage or accidents. Traditionally, lubricants for articulated cranes are derived from mineral oils of fossil origin, which have a high degree of toxicity and very poor biodegradability. Whereas there are synthetic biodegradable products that have similar characteristics and ensure minimal environmental impact. Fassi offers them in the Cranelube range, which, unlike natural mineral lubricants, can be used without risk of fouling or environmental contamination. In addition, their high viscosity index allows them to be used in summer and winter without needing to be replaced.
