Working at the nickel mines
Practicality and performance. Two important added values that led a Canadian mining group to choose Fassi cranes to handle special equipment and to transport tools in open-air nickel mines in New Caledonia, an area that has 25% of all nickel deposits in the world. The crane was delivered to the Goro mine, located north of the island and belonging to the company Vale Inco. The F1100AXP model with 6 hydraulic booms and a maximum lifting moment of 87.7 t/m was used. At the maximum working distance, the crane can lift up to 5 tonnes. The desired configuration from the client also included a 4-tonne winch.
